I’m so excited to join WorldWise Microfinance this fall as an intern!

I’m currently a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where I’m pursuing a degree in International Studies and Economics. My academic interests center on understanding how global economic, political, and social systems shape opportunities for development. I’m particularly interested in how strategic communication can connect the inner workings of finance and development to their real-world impacts on communities.

Through my internship with WorldWise, I’m excited to learn how microfinance can serve as a catalyst for sustainable growth and empowerment. I’m especially looking forward to supporting the communications and marketing team by helping develop outreach materials, conducting research, and contributing to projects that highlight the organization’s impact on the communities it serves. I reached out to WorldWise because I was drawn to its mission and its emphasis on practical, community-centered financial tools. This internship aligns closely with my long-term goal of working in global development or international policy, and I’m eager to build the skills that will help me pursue that path.

Fun fact: I’m a member of UW–Madison’s competitive Irish dance team!
