Come experience Waunakee’s Drumlin Ridge Winery on Thursday afternoon, June 22 and support a local non-profit. You will meet Evan Lory, a Waunakee High School student who is an accounting apprentice with WorldWise Microfinance as part of the Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship (YA) Program. Evan recently traveled to the Dominican Republic to deliver money he raised for small loans to women in the community of La Piedra. You’ll also be able to meet other members of the board of WorldWise Microfinance, who will be sharing program successes and plans for the future. This is designed to be a low key, informal gathering for WorldWise Microfinance to share information about the power of microfinance.
Drumlin Ridge Winey is co-hosting this event, and $2 from every glass of wine or bottle sold during the evening will go toward supporting WorldWise Microfinance. While you sample the delightful wines Drumlin Ridge has to offer, you’ll be supporting a mission of empowering women.
