Qualified Charitable Distributions
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
For people aged 73 or over who must take a distribution from their Traditional IRA (called a Required Minimum Distribution or RMD), you can satisfy the IRS’s requirement to take the distribution but not have that distribution count as income by directing the distribution to WorldWise Microfinance. This Qualified Charitable Distribution is directed by you but must come directly from the company that holds your IRA. Schwab, Fidelity, Vangard, or whoever hosts your IRA would be directed to send a check (or electronic distribution) directly to WorldWise Microfinance as a Qualified Charitable Distribution.
