Our financials

We know it’s important to you that your donation is being used effectively. It’s important to us, too. Since 2010, we have made sure that at least 90 cents of every dollar donated to WorldWise Microfinance has been loaned out to a person living in poverty.

We continue to increase our support for small business owners and entrepreneurs in the developing world. We are successful at growing our programs by identifying and collaborating with responsible and reliable partners.

Every year, we fund more loans than the year before and the size of the loans continues to increase. Strong oversight and effective monitoring are keys to the long-term success.

Through the years, we have continued to grow the number of donors and the value of their donations. The upward trend in donors serves as a testament to the collective commitment to WorldWise Microfinance and highlights the transformative power of individual contributions. Our donors are the lifeblood of the organization.

Key Financial Highlights

  • Net Distributions: Over 90% of the money that is raised is distributed to our partners for their loan programs. All of this money is loaned out, repaid, loaned out again and again.
  • Pro Bono Support: WWM benefits from substantial pro bono support from its board, resulting in virtually no administrative costs.
  • Impact and Effectiveness: WWM has been consistently top-ranked by independent charity evaluators for many years, including Guidestar and Great Nonprofits. We hope to soon be recognized by Charity Navigator.
  • Economic Benefits: Loans make a difference in the quality of life of the loan recipient and their families. In addition, the growth of small businesses and entrepreneurial activity in a community also results in improved local economies.
